Meetse Mountain Lodge
(meaning 'Quiet! - Water') is a well-established lodge situated in prime
bushveldt only 33 kilometers from Mookgopong (Naboomspruit), 2 ½ hours
drive from Johannesburg and 1½ hours from Pretoria.
Nestled
in the heart of the malaria free waterberg mountain range and boasting
the most amazing views and scenery from all corners of the property, this
break-away jewel has all-year-round beauty.
Summertime presents visitors with rushing streams and lush vegetation,
while winter offers warm days and crisp evenings.
The
property has a diversity of topography incorporating plateau, mountain
terrain, sheer cliffs, valleys, streams, grasslands; it also has a significant
selection of indigenous trees. We are privileged to have a waterfall with
a drop of approximately 19 meters. The waterfall flows most months in
the year, and is most spectacular during high rainfall periods. Thula
Meetse is the ideal place for a weekend getaway or a small private
conference, bosberaad or product launch. A birders paradise with over
40 varieties of bird seen in the area. |
